Melissa Redway
piano teacher, voice teacher

Melissa loves learning about your kid’s interests and experiences to create a friendly learning environment that is focused on them. Every music lesson is personalized to your child’s needs and learning styles.
Melissa encourages your child to take a break from autopilot and be intentional with their musical playing. She guides your child to learn how they can overcome problem areas, and self reflect on what was great in their performances. Your child will also explore with Melissa the imagery and moods they can inspire through music. Melissa loves celebrating your child’s accomplishments and watching them become more confident.
Melissa’s hope for your child is for them to grow not only as a musician, but a person too.
A graduate of Westminster Choir College (WCC), Melissa has sung major choral works with the Juilliard Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra. While at Westminster, Melissa repeatedly won 2nd place in WCC’s annual piano competition, and was president of the New Jersey Music Teachers Association Collegiate Chapter. Melissa’s training has also taken her to study song interpretation at SongFest and the Academy International D’été De Nice.
In addition to piano pedagogy and voice pedagogy, Melissa has a background in K-12 music education. Her choir students have received superiors and have sung at Carnegie Hall in New York City, NY.
